Expert Vinyl Floor Guide
Vinyl Flooring
Vinyl flooring is durable, low maintenance and easy on the budget. You won’t have to worry about sharp pet nails or dropped
toys on these floors! vinyl sheet products come with different levels of thickness in their wear layers. The thicker the wear layer
the more durable the vinyl flooring. That means under normal household use vinyl sheet floors won’t rip, tear or gouge.
Sheet vinyl is soft underfoot, so it’s comfortable to stand on for long periods. It’s also warmer to the touch than hard surfaces like
ceramic or stone tile. Vinyl flooring is traditionally reserved for hardworking rooms (kitchens, baths, entryways, laundry rooms
and playrooms) but the high-end styles are making their way into other living spaces.
Luxury Vinyl Flooring
Luxury vinyl flooring (LVF) is a type of resilient flooring that includes both luxury vinyl tile (LVT) and luxury vinyl planks (LVP).
Luxury vinyl flooring is a term that loosely describes a vinyl-based flooring material that closely mimics the look of a natural
material through realistic images and textures. Like sheet vinyl’s they come with differing wear layer thicknesses, which affect the
durability of the products. As they are in tile or plank format; this gives you great flexibility in designing your flooring and also
cuts down on wastage for those awkward shaped spaces. As this is a vinyl flooring it is a much more durable flooring than wood
or laminate for everyday wear and tear.
